A website for a South African electrician, plumber, solar installer, or construction business has one job: help a real person understand the work and take the next step. It does not need to look like a tech product. It needs to be clear on a phone.
What clear means in practice
1. Say what you do in the first screen
The visitor should see the trade, the main services, and the area you cover without scrolling forever. If someone lands from a search or a shared link, they are checking fit, not browsing for entertainment.
2. Separate services that need different decisions
Fault finding is not the same as a planned installation. An urgent leak is not the same as a bathroom renovation. A battery backup quote is not the same as a panel clean. Give each type of work plain-language space so the right customer self-selects.
3. Show real work you are allowed to show
Use photos you own or have permission to use. Describe what your team actually completed. Do not invent project counts, ratings, or results. If you do not have photos yet, start with accurate service text and add approved images as you go.
4. Make contact boringly easy
Put a direct WhatsApp path where a thumb can reach it. Ask for useful context in the conversation: location, the job type, and photos if they help. A contact form that nobody answers is worse than a short path you monitor.
5. Keep details consistent
Business name, phone numbers, hours, and service areas should match your Google Business Profile and any printed material. Confused details waste time for you and for the customer.
What a website is not
It is not a guarantee of rankings, enquiries, or revenue. Search placement stays outside Elevate's control. A website is the fuller explanation of the business; Google and WhatsApp are other parts of the presence, not replacements for clear pages.
How Elevate scopes this
Elevate builds mobile-first sites in three defined sizes:
- Spark: 1 page, R2,500 setup + R750/month. Strong one-page presence, hosting, WhatsApp path. Ongoing SEO is not included.
- Rise: 3 pages, R5,500 setup + R1,500/month. More room for services and context, Google Business Profile assistance where eligible, basic SEO foundations and ongoing basic SEO / local visibility care.
- Elevate: 5 pages, R9,500 setup + R2,500/month. Fuller structure, GBP assistance, SEO foundations and ongoing SEO / growth support, priority support.
Every plan includes 1 revision round and hosting. Domains and business email are separate. Delivery timing starts after the 50% deposit and complete content.
